Valley CAN Grant/Program Application

Valley CAN has developed a program/grant application process to solicit and review proposals from the public. The application can be used by the public to apply for program or grant funding or to submit ideas for possible future Valley CAN activities. Valley CAN is seeking innovative approaches and demonstration projects that highlight pragmatic solutions to a range of air quality problems, from reducing diesel and wood fireplace emissions to reducing dust and reduce emissions from older vehicles.

Criteria for programs/grants must foster the mission of Valley CAN, which is to:

  • Serve as a leader in educating the public about the need to take personal responsibility for reducing air pollution.
  • Promote voluntary actions to reduce air pollution by individuals, government, agriculture, business and industry.
  • Initiate and publicize creative new approaches to reduce air pollution.
  • Sponsor pilot programs and educational efforts dedicated to providing solutions to high emissions sources.

Valley CAN focuses on a Valley-wide effort that encourages the participation of individuals and community and business leaders who are serious about immediate, actionable and quantifiable solutions to air quality issues.
