Valley CAN is a non-profit advocacy group committed to improving air quality in communities throughout the California San Joaquin Valley. As a part of its purpose, Valley CAN will:
- Serve as a leader in educating the public in the need to take personal responsibility for the reduction of air pollution.
- Promote voluntary actions to reduce air pollution by individuals, government, agriculture, business and industry.
- Seek to initiate and publicize creative new approaches to reduce air pollution.
- Sponsor pilot programs and educational efforts dedicated to providing solutions to high emissions sources.

Valley CAN receives GEELA Award

Valley CAN has received a prestigious award, Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Awards (GEELA), for environment stewardship.

Valley CAN is proud to sponsor car clean up outreach efforts to help eliminate
mobile source pollutants generated by older, "out of tune" cars in the San
Joaquin Valley. Through partnerships with local businesses, Valley CAN is able
to provide a venue for the demonstration and coupons to a local certified
smog shop for vehicles to be repaired.

The Valley CAN (Clean Air Now) grant program has provided funding to organizations that have demonstrated real-world applications to improve air quality in the San Joaquin Valley. Community groups, organizations and small businesses received funding to implement, expand and tailor programs to meet the mission of Valley CAN.
